What is the "Block Party of the Century!?"

The Block Party of the Century is an interactive celebration of Creativity, Community and Cuisine that kicks off Culver City’s Centennial year. There will be a large outdoor talent competition in which over 30 artists will perform at once  throughout the streets of Downtown Culver City while you walk from one to another voting for your favorites. Over 20 restaurants from around Culver City will offer tastes of their food from locations around the event and there will be a variety of creative family activities. It’s a crazy outside music festival with food & family fun!

What is the price of General Admission?

General admission is free!

Will the streets be closed?

Yes- the streets in the Downtown area will be closed to traffic from 6AM – 6 PM. Here is all the street closure info.

Where do I park?

We encourage you to park at the Ince Parking Structure on Culver just past Ince Blvd near Trader Joe’s. The Cardiff and Watseka structures will also be open and accessible via Venice Blvd. A map showing the parking structures in the Downtown area is available HERE.  If possible, please consider taking Metro, walking or riding your bike to the event.

What does my $20 ticket to the Taste get me?

Your $20 ticket allows you to taste the food offered by over 20 restaurants throughout the event. Some will be positioned in booths and others will be serving from their patios. You will receive a “Passport” listing all participating eateries and a map showing their locations. For a full list of restaurants- click HERE.

Where do I pick up my Taste ticket(s)?

If you purchased tickets to the Taste- bring the confirmation to the Will Call at Town Plaza between the Arclight Theater and Culver Hotel where you will receive one wristband for each ticket purchased. Just show your wristband and Passport to receive a taste at each booth & patio.

Can I bring my children?

Absolutely! There will be a variety of family activities throughout the event including an interactive mural, musical instrument try out, theatre games, rubber duck races and more! For the full list - click HERE.

How does the Culver Cup Competition work?

When you arrive at the event, pick up 3 voting tokens from locations in Town Plaza or in front of the Kirk Douglas Theatre. Then as you walk through the event, you just place the tokens in the bucket next to your 3 favorite performers. The performing artist with the most tokens in their bucket wins the Culver Cup and $1000 Grand Prize.

Where can I see a line up of the artists and the times they are performing?

What else is happening on Saturday, September 24th?
